- Our Library provides you with a vast collection of resources that are useful to study business subjects and sectors such as the Mechanical/Machinery industry.
It’s home to a large amount of information, with the latest updates, including market and business management.
You can also access to several publications: domestic and international industry-related magazines as well as case studies of corporations and organizations. The materials and documents can be borrowed and used outside the Library, with some exceptions depending on the type of document.
We offer free internet connection and wi-fi, as well as desks/booths for anyone to enjoy our materials.

- Introduction
- The library of The Ad Museum Tokyo is the only specialized library in Japan focused on advertising communication. Its history traces back to 1966, when it was founded as the Advertising Library of Yoshida Hideo Memorial Hall. It houses approximately 30,000 materials, mainly comprising advertising-related Japanese and foreign books, magazines, and award-winning advertising works. Materials in the library are not available for lending, but they may be viewed freely by anyone.
③ Japan Meteorological Agency Library

- Introduction
- The Japan Meteorological Agency Library is a special library for meteorology located on the third floor of the Japan Meteorological Agency (JMA) Headquarters in Toranomon, and it is also a branch of the National Diet Library. The library’s collection includes over 120,000 books, primarily in the fields of meteorology, climatology (global environment), oceanography, seismology and volcanology. The library’s distinct collection includes JMA publications from the 1875 establishment of the Tokyo Meteorological Observatory (predecessor of the JMA) to the present day, as well as publications from foreign meteorological institutions, universities and research institutes in related fields.
Not just JMA staff members, but also general visitors can visit for research purposes without a reservation. Due to the library’s closed stack system, please use the monitor in the reading room to search for materials and then submit a request at the counter.

- The Goethe-Institut Tokyo is a German cultural institution. The library holds approximately 4,500 books, newspapers, magazines, children’s books and DVDs related to Germany. Anyone can use the library. Registration is required to borrow materials.

- Introduction
- This library houses 22,000 publications focused on the field of aviation in an open-stack system that anyone can access. If you’re interested in aircraft or want to find information about them, please come make use of this library.
Plus, you can even experience the feeling of being in the air here—with not just books, but runway carpet, airplane seats, and more.
⑥ International House of Japan Library

- Introduction
- The International House of Japan Library is a membership library maintaining primarily English-language materials related to Japan in the fields of social sciences and humanities. Non-members can use the library with introduction letters from other libraries. Please contact us for more details. Its collection can also be used through interlibrary loan.
⑦ Sanko Library

- Introduction
- Anyone can use this library that was established as a continuation of the former Ohashi Library (1902-1953).
It houses materials from a wide range of fields, with approximately 180,000 materials inherited from the former library, as well everything from prewar popular magazines to children’s books and Edo-period manuscripts and scrolls, etc.
The library is located near the base of Tokyo Tower, behind Zojoji Temple and close to the verdant greenery of Shiba Park. Please feel free to drop by.
⑧ The Dietary Culture Library

- Introduction
- The Dietary Culture Library is a special library dedicated to the field of food.
The library houses approximately 45,000 publications, both old and new, including Edo-period cookbooks as well as books and magazines published from the Meiji period (1868–1912) to the mid-Showa period (1955–1964). Anyone can use the library freely during its business hours (10 a.m. – 5 p.m.).
You can also enjoy taking in the sight of food culture leading to the present day at the Dietary Culture Exhibition Room on the 2F of the library, with vibrantly colored woodblock prints depicting Edo-period food scenes and sample food displays recreated based on Edo-period cookbooks.
Anyone can browse here for free without a reservation, so please stop by anytime.

- As a library specializing in human rights, the Human Rights Library collects a wide range of materials and provides extensive information. - Newly renovated and reopened in 2016, the Library of Tourism Culture is a special library operated by the Japan Travel Bureau Foundation that “serves to help tourism research and practical tourism business.”
The library houses a vast collection of approximately 70,000 travel guide books, tourism research materials, statistical materials, magazines, regional information guides, and antiquarian books, and more.
Please come expand your interest in deep travel and tourism while exploring the bookshelves.
